Interior architect and designer, a graduate of the Camondo school, Charlotte Biltgen worked with Sylvain Dubuisson before joining India Mahdavi’s agency, where she became artistic director in 2009.
She works on many architectural subjects, of design, scenography, while creating collections of furniture and objects. This rich and intense collaboration allows her to travel all over the world and participate in prestigious and varied projects.
In 2014, she opened her own agency in Paris. Resolutely inscribed in the tradition of the great French designers, Parisian chic rooted in its genetic heritage and a learned culture of materials, Charlotte Biltgen designs for a context: restaurant, hotel or residential space, she invents an atmosphere for each project, the over- measure as the only red thread of a creative vocabulary in perpetual renewal.

Able to think decor and detail in the same movement, she designs furniture and objects as we mentally photograph an atmosphere that does not yet exist, with an absolute concern for the perfect finish.
A Haute Couture spirit.
From the outset, Charlotte has been defending the made-to-measure, the Haute Couture spirit, the unique and exclusive piece, the made to order, the enhancement of the French craft excellence. Drawing her inspiration from the 1930s and 1950s furniture aesthetic, this perfectionist pays special attention to the various stages of the creation process, thus investing the same passion in each step and every step.
M aterials and Know-how.
She cherishes natural materials that speak for themselves, such as plaster for its softness and its powdered touch, which she usedto make the lights, console and table of the Moonlight collection for instance. Her quest for perfection doesn’t mean she will exclude certain imperfections, which she sees as fortunate incidents that enliven the creative process: faults in textile fibers, irregularities in marble veins or wood fibers and random cracks in the art of fire.
The designer has her own furniture line manufactured by small French workshops with whom she forged close ties, and distributes them mostly herself but also with the help of prestigious partners such as Maison Affluency around the world.
Biltgen’s apartment showroom, planted on the Paris Boulevard in the Courcelles district, is a location where meet ups and sinergies operate.
Inaugurared in Septembre 2021 and located across Parc Monceau, this apartment officiates as a private salon, reserved for showing her furniture line and other art objects, apartment in which she oversaw every details as an interior architect. A bright and modern place that she brings to life by mixing her own creations with that of others celebrated designers and artists who share her values and sensitivity. In this vibrant place where decors change regularly, Biltgen welcomes all by appointement only.
She cultivates eclecticism, encounters and synergies between diverse forms of creativity. This gives birth to an harmonious and convivial universe that combines design pieces such as Martin Berger’s Flow, Kiko Lopez Delphine mirror, Nadège Mouyssinat Lanscape sculpture with sculptural embroideries of Studio MTX from the House of Chanel for instance.
