Launched in France in 2014, Collection Particulière is the brainchild of former journalist and editor-in-chief of Maison Française magazine Jérôme Aumont. After spending years in writing, questioning and dreaming about design, Jérôme Aumont decided to embark in the challenging role of design editor of his own brand. From his experience in printed media he developed a taste and passion for handcrafted design together with strong artistic sensitivity towards well curated collections. To embark in this journey with him he selected trusted authors whose creations share common aesthetics and artisanal practices glued together with a love for sculptural objects:
“because not a single object is to be reduced to its first use. Far beyond its function, it is a true part of the decor” says Jérôme Aumont.

Craftmanship
Most of the pieces composing Collection Particulière overcome technically challenging production processes in manufacturing, carving, shaping or assembling the most delicate of materials. This complexity has never been an aim for the brand, and it testifies a wish to explore all the possibilities in which a material can be sculpted. Wood, marble, leather, brass and ceramic. Noble materials indeed, but, above all, materials chosen because of their character and, mainly, their ability to age with elegance while carrying a unique soul. Each project is curated and developed in close collaboration with the designer, that contribute to the collection with his own signature style:
“what really matters here is the idea of motion: the stroke of the designer’s pen, the stroke of the maker’s hand and, ultimately, the way its owner will hold the piece and use it to make it his own.”

Excellence
The designer stable of Collection Particulière could boast some of the most stylish name industry such as Dan Yeffet, Christophe Delcourt, Charles Kalpakian, Sam Accoceberry, Gregory de Lafforest, among others. Their signature style shines through each object without overshadowing the overall aesthetic of the collection.
“A series of imperceptibly related pieces, yet with a true character and identity for each of them. A collection above all, thus. An eclectic and consistent collection that could as well belong to the same and only passionate person.”
Like a piece of art temporarily lent to a museum, their mark is carved in the object, while composing a new collective picture with a unique atmosphere. Jérôme Aumont has developed have been able to curate a common semantic with no decorative overstatement.
Uniqueness
Far beyond its function, every object tells a story: the inspiration, the design, the materials, the shapes recalling natural or industrial elements. These are some of the secret ingredients allowing an object to exist, to seduce and to last. Jérôme Aumont is aware that reasons why one will choose a design piece are as varied as intimate, but mostly they go beyond its function, to become life companion.
An this is the ultimate aim of Collection Particulière, to create unique design masterpieces telling an intimate story while carrying the life of space they inhabit.
